Mission Statement and Goals

WCSA Goals Fall 2009

1. Bridge the gap between students and the administration of Ohio Wesleyan University by relating student concerns to appropriate university officials and creating greater interaction between students and faculty.
2. Strengthen the sense of community at Ohio Wesleyan University by promoting events that encourage OWU pride.
3. Make Ohio Wesleyan University more environmentally friendly by synthesizing information and coordinating efforts among the various relevant student groups and the university administration.
4. Reorganize WCSA to create greater efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
5. Improve access to public transportation on campus while providing specific attention to the needs of international students.
6. Improve dining services while providing particular attention to the needs of vegetarian students.
7. Improve living standards within the Ohio Wesleyan University community while providing particular attention to the safety of the student body and the communal good of students who share residences.
8. Unite the university in a collective service project to raise money and awareness for a cause, specifically fighting malaria in Africa.
